Crux T-4000
Harmonic Drive equatorial Mount

The CRUX T-4000 is a high-end, build-to-order mount. The CRUX T-4000 aims to be the highest-performance portable equatorial mount available.
-
Modular Portability: With a total weight of 54kg, the mount is separable into the RA (32kg) and Dec (22kg) axes, making it easy to transport and assemble for field observations.
-
Double-Stack Version: Available in both Normal and high-torque Double-Stack versions. The Double-Stack version connects a harmonic geared motor to another harmonic gear on the RA axis, achieving true zero-backlash and massive torque.
-
Precision Performance: It delivers exceptional results for high-precision imaging and long-focal-length astrophotography.
-
Counterweight-Free Operation: It can handle payloads between 40–60kg without any counterweights, ensuring high cost-efficiency and efficiency during transport. (A conservative approach to payload capacity is recommended for photography.)
-
Robotic Mount for Large Optics: Designed to support modern lightweight large telescopes, it can carry up to 24-inch class instruments. (Actual capacity depends on the tube's weight and center of gravity.)
-
Semi-Permanent Durability: Based on the lifespan of its core strain wave gears, the mount is built to last over a century with semi-permanent durability.
-
Customizable RA Axis: Two versions are available: one for mobile observation and a fixed version for dedicated photography. The fixed version features an extended RA axis to allow continuous tracking across most of the sky, regardless of meridian crossing.
-
Ideal for Remote Observatories: Its superior performance, rigidity, and customizable design make it perfectly suited for remote observatory applications.
-
TiTaN TCS Integration: Equipped with the TiTaN TCS, the world’s most advanced telescope control system, it realizes the highest level of efficiency among portable systems.
-
Innovative Periodic Error Control: By utilizing the P-motion Control feature of the TiTaN TCS, it manages periodic errors in an innovative way, keeping the final error value within ±3 arcseconds.
-
Scalability & Wireless Support: The TiTaN TCS offers high scalability and supports advanced wireless environments.
-
A New Standard for Public Observatories: The CRUX T-4000 will serve as a powerful alternative for public observatories that currently struggle with underperforming equipment.
